In art, through active participation, we teach a skills based, rich art curriculum that aims to engage with children’s imagination and creativity. 

Children will explore and learn new techniques and have the opportunity to experience a variety of materials and tools.  They will learn about the visual and tactile elements of art such as colour and tone, line and shape, pattern and texture. We use sketchbooks for children to research, plan, experiment and develop their work leading to a final piece of work.  Children are encouraged to foster an appreciation and enjoyment of the visual arts and look at art and design work from different times and cultures and use this as inspiration in developing their own work.
